Coláiste Mhuire and Loreto College present Evita

The first performance on the stage in Mullingar Arts Centre of the famous play Evita takes place this month.

It is a show that Coláiste Mhuire in association with Loreto College, Mullingar and working with the production team at the arts centre have put a huge amount of effort into.

Evita, by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, transports the audience to Buenos Aires for the story of Eva Peron. From her arrival in Buenos Aires, she was set to impress and at the centre her rise to the top is the story of her life with Juan Peron.

There are many twists and turns, a ‘Don’t Cry for Me’ and a Rainbow Tour, and audiences will be riveted from the first note.

This production has been in the pipeline for several years and students from the two schools have given much time to perfecting it, and are looking forward to taking to the stage on March 22-25 at 8pm nightly.

Tickets are available from mullingarartscentre.ie or at the ticket office in Mullingar Arts Centre, 044 934 7777.
