The Westmeath team for this evening's EirGrid Leinster Under-20 Football Championship clash against Wexford in Home Instead Lakepoint Park has been announced.

Manager Damien Gavin has named a strong team, featuring a number of players who saw league action with the senior team, including Shandonagh's Daniel Scahill and Caulry's Senan Baker.

The team got their campaign off to the best possible start on March 21 where they secured an away victory against a highly fancied Kildare team. The Lilwhited won last year's Leinster title.

A win tonight for Westmeath will ensure that they top Group 3 and will face the Group 1 runners-up in the next round .

Last week, Wexford suffered a home defeat to Kildare. Throw-in this evening is at 7.30pm.
