Westmeath's minor footballers took on Meath in the Leinster Minor Football Championship at Kinnegad GAA grounds on Tuesday evening and the fixture attracted a strong level of support.
Ultimately, Meath proved the stronger side, winning by 2-10 to 0-10 after a competitive encounter, with a goal in either half proving the difference. Westmeath meet Louth in the second round next Wednesday evening in Ardee.
