WATCH: Keena shines again as Cheltenham secure League One status

Aidan Keena was among the goals again yesterday as Cheltenham Town secured their Sky Bet League One status for next season with a 3-1 victory over Forest Green.

Keena, whose transfer from Sligo Rovers in January coincided with a upturn in the team's fortunes, set up fellow striker Alfie May to open the scoring in the 14th minute.

The Mullingar native then increased his team's lead in the 31st minute when he finished to the bottom left corner after latching onto a mis-placed pass. May added a third goal seven minutes later.

Forest Green's Jordan Garrick pulled a goal back early in the second half, but Cheltenham ran out relatively easy winners in the end.

Keena's contribution to Cheltenham's late season run of form, which has seen them lose just once in the last ten league games, has quickly made him a firm favourite with the club's fans, who voted him player of the month for both February and March.

With three league games remaining, Cheltenham are in 16th place with 50 points from 43 games.
