Castletown Geoghegan Comhaltas hosting Westmeath Fleadh this year

Castletown Geoghegan Comhaltas are hosting the Westmeath Fleadh this year, and events begin with a youth session for all branches on Sunday May 7 in St Michael’s Hall at 3pm.

The usual session trail begins on Wednesday May 10 at 8.30pm in Murphy’s, Dysart, followed by The Bodhrán, Ballinagore on Thursday, Ned Claffey’s on Friday, Brennan’s Bar on Saturday and The Drake Inn on Sunday.

Competitions begin on Friday May 12 at the GAA pitch with ceilí and set dancing.

The Fleadh Mass is on Saturday May 13 at 7.30pm and the other competitions begin on Sunday at 10am in the national school and the Parochial House.

Dancing venue change

The dancing competitions will now take place in the GAA pitch on Friday evening.
