Report on Umma More Wind Farm SIA to be considered next week

A report on the Umma More Wind Farm Strategic Infrastructure Development application to An Bord Pleanála will be considered at a special meeting of Westmeath County council on Monday May 8.

At the meeting, members of the council will have an opportunity to consider the report of the chief executive, Pat Gallagher, on the application, to voice their views on the proposed development and to resolve, if necessary, to attach recommendations to the chief executive’s report.

At the April meeting of the council, both Mr Gallagher and Barry Kehoe, senior executive, said the councillors are entitled to put their views on record and those views must be relayed to An Bord Pleanála.

The meeting will be held online at 11am on Monday May 8.
