Mullingar side St Loman's won the Division 1 Féile Final on Bank Holiday Monday in TEG Cusack Park, with a comprehensive 29-point victory over Garrycastle.

St Loman's firepower up front proved too hot to handle and six first half goals meant the match was over as a contest at the break.

Garrycastle never dropped their heads and continued to battle in the second period, however the girls in blue were too strong on the day, running out decisive winners.

Only minutes had passed in TEG Cusack Park, when St Loman's got their first goal and with that, they put down a marker in this final.

Katie Kilmurray ran through on goal and buried the ball to the net to give the Mullingar side the perfect start.

Katie turned provider minutes later, assisting Grainne Cleary, who placed between the posts, before Katie got a point of her own from distance, making it 1-2 to no score early on.

A dominant St Loman's finished the half with two more scores.

The first came through the boot of Maddie Mulderry, before they got their sixth goal: a good pass from Grainne Cleary found the impressive Katie Kilmurray and she buried the ball into the top corner for her hat-trick, in what was an excellent finish.

It was brief respite for the girls in green and red, as St Loman's soon had their seventh goal of the match. It was the familiar source of no.11 Katie Kilmurray - her curled effort finding its way into the net.
