Weekend of events to mark Moate All Whites centenary

Hogan Park in Moate will be centrepiece of Moate All Whites centenary celebrations this June Bank holiday weekend.

It’s a busy period for the Westmeath club with the construction of a new gym, an impending book to be published later in the year and the forthcoming centenary celebrations, never mind the football activity!

As part of the build-up to the special weekend of events, the club recently launched its special centenary jersey at a function in Don’s Bar.

The jersey is a once off unique design which contains 280 plus names of the club’s winning teams at senior, intermediate, junior levels as well as Leinster and All-Ireland winners in Scór.

The club’s long and proud tradition in Scór was displayed again in the All-Ireland Junior final in Killarney recently.

The centenary jersey incorporates the traditional All Whites club crest, designed in 1995 by club member Fiona Bracken, and which depicts key landmarks and links associated with the south Westmeath town and the club’s long association with the Carmelite Order.

The jersey also has an exclusive centenary logo designed by Sirin Allen, a pupil of St Brigid’s NS. Jerseys are currently available to order through the club.
