Milltownpass GAA hand over €9000 from head shave event to LARCC

Milltownpass GAA raised almost €9000 for LARCC with a head shave and wax event in Grennan’s Bar last October, and have now handed over the funds.

Lorraine Moran and Amy Devine, the main organisers of the event, offered their thanks everyone that was involved in it – those who donated prizes for the raffle and gave sponsorship, those who took part, and in particular they are grateful to Grennan’s bar for hosting the night, to Gary Brady for doing the shave and wax.

Bernie McHugh, general manager at LARCC, praised the very high level of funds raised (the actual amount was €8,992) and expressed sincere thanks to the Lorraine and Amy and Milltownpass GAA for choosing LARCC as their benefit charity.

She said the funds will go towards the ongoing delivery of vital professional counselling, therapies and nurse support in the community, for cancer patients and their family members, including children.
