Sunflower Days for Hospice continue today, Saturday

The National Sunflower fundraising days continue today Saturday June 10, across the country, to raise funds for hospice services.

Sunflower Days has been taking place for more than three decades raising funds to support local palliative care teams who deliver end of life care to terminally ill patients in the north Westmeath area.

This care is delivered in the comfort of the patient’s own home or in a dedicated hospice bed.

Yesterday and today the North Westmeath hospice have several collection locations around Mullingar, selling merchandise to raise funds for local services.

Margaret Claffey, chairperson of North Westmeath Hospice fundraising committee, would like to thank everyone for coming out to support them, all the volunteers for their support and she would like to assure everyone that all money raised stays local with our local hospice services.
