‘Yellow’ weather warning for thunderstorms today

Westmeath has been included in a ‘Yellow’ weather warning for thunderstorms today.

Met Éireann have stated this morning that there will be ‘localised showers with heavy downpours, thunderstorms, gusty winds and a chance of hail’.

They say travelling conditions could be difficult as a result.

Affected Regions: Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Laois, Limerick, Longford, Mayo, Offaly, Roscommon, Sligo, Tipperary, and Westmeath
