Temperatures will average 1-3 degrees above normal this week

Met Éireann have issued yet another weather warning this morning, a Status Yellow thunderstorm and rainfall warning for Cavan, Monaghan, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Dublin, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Galway, Roscommon.

While sunny spells will be widespread this morning, and showers isolated at first, they will become heavier and more widespread this afternoon and evening with thunderstorms and localised flooding possible. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees with light to moderate southwest breezes.

TONIGHT

Showers will begin to die off overnight, except for south and west coasts. Mild with lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in just light southerly breezes. Misty in parts too.

Tuesday June 20

A cloudy and showery day with showers turning heavy into the afternoon and evening. Some thunderstorms are likely. Highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees in just light southerly breezes.

The rest of the week will be rather warm with light winds. Remaining unsettled with further thunderstorms bringing localised flooding.

TUESDAY NIGHT: Showers will become more isolated with drier and clearer conditions developing. Some mist and fog developing too. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in just light southwest breezes.

WEDNESDAY: Sunny spells and scattered showers with the best of any sunshine breaking out later in the day. Highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees with just light westerly breezes.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Mostly dry and clear overnight with just light patchy rain and cloud lingering in parts. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with light variable breezes.

THURSDAY: Sunny spells and isolated showers. Warm in sunshine with highest temperatures of 19 to 24 degrees in light southerly breezes, freshening along southern and western coasts.

FRIDAY: Cloudy and breezy with outbreaks of rain, possibly heavy. Highest temperatures of 18 to 21 degrees with moderate to fresh southwesterly breezes.
