My Fleadh: Louise Murtagh, Greville Arms Hotel

How was your fleadh, were you busy?

I run the coffee shop in the Greville. It was absolutely manic. From Sunday morning right up to the following Monday night, we were chock-a-block. I'd say there were thousands more than last year.

Did you get time to enjoy the music and the different sights and sounds?

We popped out here and there to see bits and pieces. There was a lot more music than last year, which was great.

How would you compare this year's fleadh to 2022?

There were thousands more. It was at least 20 times busier than a usual August weekend. We had a lot of extra staff on for the week and they turned out brilliant for us.

What are your standout memories from the fleadh?

They were all dressed in blue, just to stand out. Overall, it was better and bigger there was a lot more music, more dancers and musicians around the place.
