My fleadh: Áine Newman, musician, Westmeath and Delvin camogie

How was your fleadh, were you busy?

My fleadh was brilliant. I was very busy playing, listening and enjoying the music.

Did you get time to enjoy the music, and the different sights and sounds?

I did, I got to enjoy many aspects of the fleadh. I played music on the streets and on the Gig Rig. I went to see Ruaile Buaile in the Greville Arms.

I really enjoyed the Gig Rig on the Saturday night when the Dartry and Blackwater céilí bands were playing.

How would you compare this year's fleadh to 2022?

A lot busier.

What are your standout memories from the fleadh?

Playing on Radio na Gaeltachta with brilliant musicians, also playing with Templeoran (my local music group) in the cathedral after the céilí band competition, meeting new and old friends from many different counties.
