My fleadh: Linda Harris Presents, Dominick Street

How was your fleadh, were you busy?

Our fleadh was fantastic. The weather held up, there were so many more people and business was good. Business was much better than last year. I thought it would be very quiet. I had to bring my two girls up and they were selling bodhráns on the street for me.

Did you get time to enjoy the music, and the different sights and sounds?

I did. I got plenty of time to enjoy everything. Here on Dominick Street, it was lovely because we had the music outside all the time. It was nice to have the streets pedestrianised so people could really enjoy it.

How would you compare this year's fleadh to 2022?

I was also in every single evening. I can see the stage from my bedroom and when the windows were open it was just lovely. The kids were in every day too and it was very safe.

How would you compare this year's fleadh to 2022?

It would seem to have been much busier business-wise and the crowds were much bigger. Last year was excellent too, but I think this year was better. It was very well organised and went perfectly.

What are your standout memories from the fleadh?

It was just so nice and enjoyable, seeing all the children play on the street was fantastic. I’d love to see it back every year! Even if you were guaranteed it every five years, it would be fantastic. The Bachelor Festival will be great too. I remember coming in to the original Bachelor Festival and the events on the street. It was great.

We have such a lovely town and the fleadhs really highlighted it.
