Westmeath club football semi-final fixtures confirmed

The semi-final fixtures in the Westmeath GAA club football championships have been confirmed.

The intermediate semi-final between Tubberclair and St Malachy's (2.30pm) and the senior showdown between Caulry and Coralstown/Kinnegad (4.30pm) will form a double header at TEG Cusack Park on Sunday week, September 17.

Caulry will be striving to reach their first ever Westmeath senior football final as they take on a Coralstown/Kinnegad team who beat them by 4-6 to 0-10 in the opening round of the championship. Shane Curran's men edged out Athlone in their quarter-final - see report here.

In the curtain-raiser, Tubberclair will be aiming to reach their second successive intermediate final, having lost out to Shandonagh after a replay in last year's decider. Martin McCabe's charges will face a St Malachy's outfit who won all five of their group games before defeating Rosemount in their quarter-final - see report here.

On Saturday, September 16, the Milltown v Milltownpass and Tyrrellspass v St Loman's Mullingar semi-finals will be played as a double header at Westmeath GAA HQ.

The Junior 2 FC semi-finals (Rosemount v Delvin and Mullingar Shamrocks v Coralstown/Kinnegad) will be played in Shandonagh on September 16. And the Junior 1 semi-finals (Kilbeggan Shamrocks v Ballycomoyle and St Joseph's v St Loman's Mullingar) will take place on September 17 in Rochfortbridge.
