WTech announce new acquisition as revenue expected to hit €120m
Revenue at WTech Fire Group (WTech) is expected to exceed €120m this year as it continues an ambitious growth plan, which includes the acquisition of Dublin-based Ideal Fire announced this morning.
It is a third acquisition this year and the fifth since which Waterland private equity took a majority stake in 2021.
Employee numbers are expected to grow beyond 580.
Ideal Fire was launched 10 years ago. It provides planned preventative maintenance on fire alarm systems, emergency lighting systems, fire extinguishers, automatic opening vents and gas suppression systems.
Earlier this year WTech acquired Jem Pumps and Wilec Fire and Security.
Wicklow-based Wilec Fire and Security provides life safety and security systems to a range of clients from small, single site businesses, to complex, high-risk, multiple site installations for blue chip clients.
Founded nearly 40 years ago, Jem Pumps is a UK-based specialist in fire, industrial, and electric pumps – including service, maintenance and repair. Its recognised excellence in the implementation and servicing of electric and diesel-driven pumps makes it an ideal fit for WTech’s diverse range of services, the Mullingar based firm said.
In 2021, WTech partnered with pan-European private equity firm, Waterland. Since then, the company has rapidly expanded, and acquired Ce Sprinkler, a Swedish fire protection business; and Compco Fire Systems, a UK provider of automatic fire suppression systems.
Writech designs, manufactures, installs and services safety systems that protect large buildings and complex facilities from fire.
It works with some of the largest blue-chip companies in the world in a range of sectors including data centres, life sciences, logistics, retail, office, and food and beverage.
