Days Bazaar continue hospice coffee morning tradition

A tradition established by the late Peter Pierson (RIP) and Tyrrellspass Tidy Towns is being continued today at Days Bazaar in Mullingar.

Mr Pierson, who passed away on August 1 last, and Tyrrellspass Tidy Towns used to organise coffee mornings for the hospice at the Barn in Tyrrellspass, and TY students from St Joseph’s Secondary School in Rochfortbridge would always help on the day.

To honour the memory of Mr Pierson, his son Brian and the team at Days Bazaar in Mullingar are continuing the tradition and today they are hosting a Bewley’s Big Coffee Morning Social for Hospice.

Brian said the hospice is a good cause and “important for a lot of people”, and the Days Bazaar team are delighted to support it.

They, in turn, have received support from some of their suppliers, including Magico Bakery in Athlone, (“if somebody wants to come in and get a bag of frozen scones to take home, we’ll give them that and that will go to the charity”), and Arch Bakes.
