A mix of youth and experience among players

1. Jason Daly, Installations executive at Dunne & Nugent Blinds and Curtains.

Reliable goalkeeper with wonderful shot stopping ability. Can always be depended upon between the posts. Tailteann Cup winning goalkeeper with Westmeath in 2022.

2. Sean Flanagan, Defence Forces.

A strong, versatile player with pace and stamina. Scored the second goal in the 2017 final against Tyrrellspass. Operated at full-forward during the league but has worked his way out the field as the year has gone on.

3. David Whelan, Auctioneer at Sherry Fitzgerald Davitt and Davitt.

Speedy player who can play anywhere across the defence, one of three players hoping for the seventh county medal today. Scored the winning goal in the 2013 County Final

4. Kelvin Reilly, Pharmaceutical Professional at Pfizer.

A Versatile Player who is as always dependable. Another player hoping for his seventh county football medal today. Former hurler with Clonkill and is also the holder of senior medals in both codes like Paddy Dowdall.

5. Ronan O Toole, Investment Relations Analyst.

A skilful forward who has excelled for both Club and County in recent seasons. Got the man of the match award in the Tailteann Cup final in 2022. Talent in abundance and is now vice- captain of the team.

6. John Heslin, Ruminant Product Manager MSD Animal Health Ireland.

St Lomans Talisman. Can kick accurately with either foot and is an excellent free taker. Captain of the team and a leader both on and off the field. Top scorer in the 2022 Tailteann Cup and all-time leading championship scorer for Westmeath. He will be hoping for his seventh county title today.

7. Fola Ayorinde, Student.

Tall and physically strong player that can play in midfield or anywhere in the forward line. His explosive combination of pace and power is a nightmare for opposition. Has represented Westmeath several times at senior level.

8. Conor O’Donoghue, Process Development Scientist.

A Defender who returned to the club in 2019 after a stint in the USA. A committed defender who sticks to his marker like glue. Has won multiple senior championship medals.

9. TJ Cox, Landscaper.

A pacy attacker with tremendous scoring ability. Has scored many crucial championship goals in recent years including this year’s semi-final. One of Lomans five Tailteann Cup Winners in 2022.

10. Sam McCartan, Stud farm worker for Starfield Stud.

Since his debut in 2019 he has quickly established himself as one of the most talented players in the county. A regular starter for Westmeath and was instrumental in the Tailteann Cup winning team in 2022.

11. Danny McCartan, Student.

Younger brother of Sam, Danny made his Senior debut in 2021 and quickly established himself as a mainstay of team. An excellent scorer with tremendous ability and has cemented a place in the starting fifteen over the last two seasons.

12. Shane Dempsey, Account executive at Hubspot.

Returned to the club in 2021 after a spell in the middle east. Pacey attacker who is proficient in front of goal. Was a member of the Westmeath Senior football panel this year.

13. Kevin Regan, Quantity Surveyor.

As solid and dependable a player as you could ask for, he has mainly featured at midfield this year. An accomplished hurler with Cullion and Westmeath. He featured in Westmeath Hurler’s historic win against Wexford this summer.

14. Chris Gilbert, Business Developer.

Established senior panellist. Bundles of pace along with an eye for goal. Captained the 2020 Junior Championship Team who finished as runners up.

15. Sean Kelly, Sales at Intersport Elvery’s.

Tenacious defender in the full back line, made his senior breakthrough in 2019 year at corner back. Talented hurler with St Oliver Plunketts. Captain of our junior team.

16. Darragh O'Keeffe, Primary School Teacher.

A strong and dependable defender who largely operates in the full-back line. Has been one of the most consistent performers this season

17. Tristan Graham, Student.

Versatile Player with a huge fitness level. Along with his work rate, also a good finisher when presented with a goal chance. Extremely dedicated player who has nailed down a starting spot this season.

Lively inside forward who has progressed through our academy in recent seasons. Has great pace and has an eye for goal.
