St Loman’s hosting quiz night in The Chambers

St Loman's, Mullingar are hosting a table quiz in The Chambers on November 10 to raise funds for the club's underage section.

Quizmaster extraordinaire Willie Geraghty will be asking the questions, while there will be a raffle on the night with a host of great prizes up for grabs.

All of the money raised will go towards buying new equipment for the club's underage teams. Garrett Hickey, underage chairperson, says that the event is not only about raising funds for the club's thriving underage set-up, but also gives parents and coaches a chance to socialise after another great year for the hundreds of boys and girls who play for the club.

"It would be great if we got lots of parents and their friends and family coming to the quiz. We're trying to raise money to buy more juvenile goalposts, training equipment and proper lighting for the back pitch so the kids will all benefit from any money we raise. Plus, it’s a chance for a bit of craic for the parents. Hopefully we will get a good crowd out on the night," he said.

The quiz starts at 8.30pm and the entrance fee is €40 for a team of four.
