40 Hours Adoration to mark Feast of Christ the King

Diocese of Meath

To celebrate the Feast of Christ the King on November 26 this year, the Diocese of Meath are inviting people from across the diocese to come to the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar and to participate in 40 Hours Adoration.

This weekend of prayer begins with 7.30pm Mass on Friday November 24 and concludes with solemn Evening Prayer and Benediction at 4pm on Sunday November 26. There will be Eucharistic adoration throughout the weekend and confession will be available from noon to midnight on Saturday November 25.

There will be an opportunity for each area of Mullingar Parish to come and adore Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and during that time, the intentions of the parishioners in that area will be included in prayer.

A supplementary pink sheet at the back of churches and the cathedral provides an outline of areas and corresponding Adoration hours. Parishioners are invited to come to the Cathedral at the particular times their areas have been assigned, although they are not restricted to those hours. All are most welcome to attend this special weekend in the diocese.
