Mullingar Gardai issue Christmas card appeal

The Community Gardai in Mullingar have issued an appeal for handmade Christmas cards with positive Christmas messages on An Garda Siochana Westmeath's Facebook page.

These cards will be delivered over the Christmas period to the elderly and vulnerable within the local community. The cards can be collected or left into Mullingar Garda Station.

The last day for collection is Tuesday, December 12. For any enquiries please contact the local Community Engagement Unit at Mullingar or Athlone Garda Station.

Many local schools took part in the initiative which was the first of its kind in Westmeath in 2022. Community Gardai in Mullingar collected hundreds of handmade Christmas cards from children all over Westmeath and delivered them to elderly and vulnerable people last year.
