1428 Active Retirement Club notes

Hours are 9am–5pm Mon to Thursday, Friday 2pm. Come along and soak up the atmosphere. Coffee mornings on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11am. Bingo afterwards.

Wednesday hour of speaking Gaeilge at 1.30pm. Cookery Classes take place this week; last week everyone was happy going home with the homemade bracks and cakes. Go for Life’ is an hour-long of moving and exercising those tired bones and parts of the body so that you can feel the health benefits. The exercises are not strenuous.

Technology

Are you confident working on your PC, laptop, tablet, iPad, or smartphone? On Tuesday and Wednesdays afternoon, there are slots for IT tutoring; call 044 93 84290 or call in to discuss.

Hearing aid service

CHIME, free hearing aid service open to people of all ages; next clinic , Friday November 24.

Dressmaking

Do you have dressmaking needs or alterations? If so, Beata is at the club on Mondays at 10.30am. You can leave your items with a member of staff with instructions on the same.

Mass of Remembrance

A Mass of Remembrance took place on the premises on Wednesday 8 November for all the members who have died and other relatives who are no longer with us.

Thank you, Fr Phil Gaffney, Mullingar parish, for the lovely Mass; it was much appreciated by all who attended. Your prayers and special intentions would be greatly appreciated for a few of our members and their families who especially need them at this time.
