Bressie wins at Irish Podcast Awards

Niall Breslin has taken home an Irish Podcast Award for Best Interview for his Where Is My Mind Podcast.

The Morrison Hotel in Dublin was a hive of excitement and talent on Tuesday evening as it played host to the eagerly anticipated 2023 The Irish Podcast Awards brought to you by PodPod.

The event, hosted by Zara King and Richard Chambers of Virgin Media News and presenters of The Group Chat podcast, was the talk of the town, with a sold-out venue buzzing with the energy of podcast industry luminaries.

The awards recognised the extraordinary achievements across various genres, from the gripping historical narratives of The Troubles Podcast to the comedic brilliance of The 2 Johnnies Podcast. Notably, The Met Éireann Podcast took home the Climate category, marking a win for informative and engaging environmental content.

The Where Is My Mind podcast is about navigating the manic, always-on and head-melting world we live in.

Niall talks to expert professionals about what impact this society having on us, and how we can deal with it by introducing the basics of mindfulness practice and meditation.

In a testament to the versatility and depth of Irish podcasting, My Therapist Ghosted Me claimed the Spotlight award. At the same time, the incredible Documentary on One: Blackrock Boys was the standout winner for the Documentary category. The Podcast Champion title was deservedly awarded to the inimitable Blindboy for The Blindboy Podcast, showcasing his unrivalled influence and contribution to the medium.
