Niall Horan 'has costliest merch'

Mullingar singer Niall Horan has come top of a list that fans would definitely prefer he didn’t – a table showing which celebrities charge the most for their merchandise.

The research, conducted by personal finance experts Wealth of Geeks, pulled the price of all merchandise items listed in the official online stores of the 20 most popular artists worldwide to calculate who is the most expensive to support, and who is the most affordable.

And it turns out that Niall has the most expensive merchandise, as a typical item in his store is 56% more expensive than that provided by any other artist - including Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Olivia Rodrigo.

With 32 products currently available in his UK store with a collective price of £1,432 (€1654.14), each works out to an average of £46.53 (€53.75) to purchase - compared to the average of other celebrities £29.91 (€34.55). This is despite Horan providing multiple cost-saving bundles on his site.

The high price per item in Niall’s store is also largely due to limited edition items like his Hello Lovers x The Show Cardigan, which retails for £90 and is available in two colourways.

The cardigan is the costliest product on his site, while the cheapest item in his store is the Meltdown - CD Single, which costs a comparatively much more modest £3.99 (€4.61).

Following Niall as the celeb with the most expensive products is Elton John, while rounding out the top three artists who charge their fans the most for merch is Billie Eilish.
