Mount Street and Gaol Hill closed for WinterFest
Mount Street and Gaol Hill in Mullingar will be closed from this evening, Thursday, till Monday morning; and again next weekend.
The closure is due to the WinterFest in Mullingar, which opens this weekend.
The road will be closed from 8pm on Thursday December 7 to 2am on Monday December 11; and from 8pm on Thursday December 14 to 2am on Monday December 18.
Westmeath County Council say detour signs will be in place, and the alternative routes are:
Northbound West: Bleachyard – Grove Street, Blackhall Place – Dominick Street – Oliver Plunkett Street.
Southbound East: Austin Friars Street (Nugent’s Corner) – Millmount – Sundays Well Road – Bleach Yard.
Southbound West: Green Bridge – Lynn Industrial Estate – Lynn Road.
Southbound: Castle Street – Pearse Street – Austin Friars Street – Millmount.
