Multyfarnham lights up

BMB Active notes

BMB Active congratulate the Multyfarnham Tidy Towns volunteers, who, despite inclement weather, erected Christmas decorations and bright lights in the village. Multyfarnham Tidy Towns chairperson Angela Cocoman paid tribute to Westmeath County Council for subvention and to Community Employment Scheme workers with Frank Brennan and Yuly Demidov, who provided assistance to the team of volunteers.

On Friday evening, many local children were there as Frankie May Coyle and Mia Nolan officiated the countdown to the switch-on of the Christmas lights. Busy bakers brought mince pies, and Fr Conor McGee, Jim Gillespie and Joan Tierney led the singing of Christmas carols. Credit goes to Multyfarnham Tidy Towns for organising an inclusive and memorable Christmas event.
