Westmeath Filmmaking Collective to hold celebration event

The Westmeath Filmmaking Collective are holding an event in Mullingar next week to celebrate local talent in that sector.

They are meeting in the Annebrook House Hotel on December 28 at 6.30pm.

Liam Hall Walshe from the collective said: “It a showcase that will highlight the talent of the county’s directors, actors, writers and crew members in a night of celebration and networking that endeavours to the bring the collective skills of the county together and instigate a culture of filmmaking.

“A number of award winning shorts from Westmeath filmmakers will be screened as well as showreels from our brightest actors and filmmakers.”

Craig Moore’s award winning ‘Barry vs the Binman’ and ‘Three Brothers Two’ as well as ‘Short Wormhole In The Washer’ by Paireac Keane from Tyrrellspass will be screened at the event.

“We will have shorts featuring local filmmakers and actors such as Conor English, John Quinn and many more,” said Liam.
