Cill Cuan singers receive ‘Chance to Shine’ medals

The members of a choir based at Cill Cuan on Harbour Street, Mullingar received the medals they won in the ‘A Chance to Shine’ competition before Christmas.

The event, a talent show for people with additional needs, is a regular part of the calendar at Mullingar Arts Centre.

Edward Byrne, the choir coordinator at Cill Cuan, congratulated the members of 'This Crew Can Do' on their success. They took first prize in the choir section of ‘A Chance to Shine’.

The Chance to Shine Show showcases children, young people, and adults with additional needs on stage at Mullingar Arts Centre. The events are full of song, dance, music, drama and musical theatre, featuring individuals and groups from Westmeath and further afield.

Naomi Bell presented Derek Moore with his Gaisce Award.
Siobhan McPadden presented Emily Quinn with an award from Multyfarnham Cookery School.
Laura Corrigan accepted the award for best overall choir frrom Edward Byrne.
