Delvin St Patrick's Day Parade returning this year

The much-anticipated St Patrick's Day Parade is set to make a triumphant return to the streets of Delvin.

The last parade was held in 2019, and in the absence of the traditional parade, the organising committee turned to a festival-type event to celebrate the occasion. Now the committee has announced plans for the beloved parade to once again return to the village.

The Delvin St Patrick's Day Parade Committee is thrilled to announce that preparations for the 2024 parade are well underway, and floats are invited to register for the event on the official Delvin village website. This marks a significant step forward in reinstating this cherished community tradition.

Chairman David Jones expressed his excitement, stating: "The committee has been working tirelessly to ensure the return of the St Patrick's Day Parade, and I'm delighted to report that all is going to plan and running smoothly. We are eager to bring the joy and excitement of the parade back to the streets of Delvin, and we look forward to welcoming participants and spectators from near and far on March 18 ! Yes, that's correct, March 18."

The reinstatement of the St Patrick's Day Parade is anticipated to be a momentous occasion for the local community, providing an opportunity for residents and visitors alike to come together in celebration. The parade has long been a highlight of the year, and its return is eagerly awaited by all.

Floats and participants interested in taking part in the parade are encouraged to visit the Delvin village website to register and secure their place in this year's procession.
