Incoming storm may delay power restoration efforts, ESB warns

With Storm Jocelyn approaching, the Electricity Supply Board (ESB) have warned customers to prepare for potential power outages and a delay to restoration efforts.

In the wake of Storm Isha, power outages remain across Meath today. The storm caused extensive damage to properties across the country, and saw roads closed off by fallen trees.

ESB repair crews are currently working to restore power to properties, but they face further challenges as Storm Jocelyn hits today.

Some of the Meath areas yet to be restored include:

Commons of Loyd and surrounding areas, where 54 Customers are affected. It is estimated to be restored by 6pm today.

Mullagh and surrounding areas, where 95 Customers are affected. It is estimated to be restored by 8pm today.

Julianstown and surrounding areas, where 36 Customers are said to be affected. It is estimated to be restored by 8pm today.

The ESB team apologise for the inconvenience and wish to ensure their customers that they are working tirelessy to restore electricity supply as safely and as quickly as possible.
