‘Yellow’ warning for snow and ice in Westmeath overnight

The Met Éireann Weather Warning Alerting Service includes a ‘Yellow’ for snow and ice in Westmeath overnight.

The warning issued this morning says that there will be “sleet and snow for a time leading to some accumulations, most significant on higher ground”.

Met Éireann are advising that there will be “hazardous travelling conditions, poor visibility and ice on untreated surfaces”.

The affected regions are Clare, Galway, Laois, Offaly, Tipperary, Westmeath, and Wicklow

The expected onset is tomorrow, Thursday at 3am and the expiry is tomorrow at 1pm.
