Leinster Rugby charm fans at training session in Mullingar

The Leinster Rugby team conducted a training session at Mullingar Rugby Football Club this evening.

As the Leinster squad took to the field, fans of all ages gathered to catch a glimpse of their rugby heroes.

The Leinster team’s donation of a signed jersey to the club was a highlight of the event, as a symbol of the bond between the professional game and grassroots rugby.

That gesture, paired with the recognition of Sam Prendergast, a young talent with familial ties to Mullingar, brought a personal touch to the training session.

Children and adults made the most of the opportunity to meet the sporting idols, and many left with autographs and memories that would last a lifetime.

Reflecting on the day, club vice-president Ciaran Murtagh said: “Today was more than just a training session – it was a testament to the power of sport to bring people together.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Leinster team for sharing this day with us and to everyone who came out to support us.

“It’s days like these that remind us of the true spirit of rugby.”
