St Anne’s National School wow audience with Oliver performance at arts centre

Consider Yourself wow’d by the Oliver performance from the pupils of St Anne’s NS, Tyrrellspass! Mullingar Arts Centre hosted a full house in early February, as the Victorian style musical Oliver Twist was brought to life by talented students from Tyrrellspass. The classic musical is based on the story Oliver, a young orphan trying to make his fortune in the golden streets of London.

There was an outstanding performance of dancing, singing, heart stopping drama and acting by the fifth and sixth class students. The wonderful choral harmonies were supported by the children in fourth class.

The school management would like to thank everyone involved – parents, parents association, board of management, and the teachers, especially Mrs McKeown. A special thanks to Gerard Gavin, photographer and videographer on the night.

The success of the show was also a testament to the expertise, patience and guidance of Sarah and Sam from Mullingar Arts Centre.

Thank you so much to everyone who supported us and those who donated prizes for our raffle. This memorable night is something the students will fondly look back on for many years to come.
