Local dance group to appear on TG4
A local dance group are appearing on the new series of the TG4 show, An Ríl Deal.
On the first episode of the new series, which airs next Sunday, March 10, The Emerald Lakes Academy of Irish Dance are up against dancers from Galway, Limerick, Dublin, Clare, Kerry Wicklow.
Described by TG4 and Adare Productions as “the ultimate free-for-all Irish dance competition and a celebration of all the Irish dancing traditions”, the new series of An Ríl Deal will feature a fantastic array of performers of all styles of traditional dance, who will entertain viewers over the eight episodes of the new series.
Keeping a close eye on all the talented hopefuls are the show's three judges, all experts in the field of Irish dance; Labhras Sonaí Choilm Learraí (Galway), Úna Ní Fhlatharta (Maynooth, Kildare) and Ronan O’Connell (Galway-Cairde Dance Company).
Presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc, the series will feature dancers and groups from many counties across the country.
There are no age restrictions on the dancers- young and old and everything in between will be showing us their moves! Solo dancers, duos and groups.
Each week will feature different dancers as they battle it out with showstopping numbers in the hopes of reaching the finale to be crowned winners of An Ríl Deal. An Ríl Deal will air over eight weeks, starting on Sunday 10th March at 8.30pm on TG4 and on the TG4 Player - TG4.ie.
