St Paul’s Delvin LGFA 'always looking for new players'

The objective of St Paul’s Delvin LGFA “is to provide football for all girls in our community, in a safe and fun environment”.

They have teams from under 6 to G4MO, and they are always on the lookout for new players.

St Paul’s Delvin LGFA share facilities with St Paul’s men’s club. That is greatly appreciated and we are thankful to them for their support,” said a club spokesperson.

Bairbre Ball, G4MO player, provided this information: St Paul’s Delvin Gaelic for Mothers & Others team was set up in January 2018. “Over the years we have welcomed ladies with no football experience and ladies with lots of football in them. We have a wonderful team full of personalities that help to drive our team forward.

“We have been in four national blitzes, two Leinster blitzes, and we have hosted our own blitz as well. We have played numerous friendly games, home and away.”

If you would like to get involved, they are starting back on March 13 – go to the St Paul’s club grounds in Clonmellon on Wednesdays, 7.30-8.30pm.

“We are looking forward to another year on the pitches of Westmeath for all age groups.”
