National Rescue and CPR Challenge to take place in Mullingar this year

The Rescue Organisation Ireland National Rescue and CPR Challenge 2024 will take place in Mullingar, on Saturday May 11, at the fire station. Rescue Organisation Ireland announced the news on their Facebook page (Rescue Org Ireland).

The challenge is for all emergency services, professional and voluntary, and community first responders, and it gives them an opportunity to demonstrate and share their skills in three elements: cardiac arrest management, road traffic collision and pre-hospital trauma care.

The challenge is the only event in Ireland where domestic and international emergency services come together, share skills and compete in the crucial disciplines of patient care.

Rescue Organisation Ireland said: "We are delighted to be partnering with Westmeath Fire Service, who are hosting the challenge. We invite everyone to come to Mullingar Fire Station to witness the challenge first hand."

The challenge will have many different learning opportunities for everyone, including a free and open to the public CPR Challenge in partnership with Hibernian Healthcare.

More details will be released on Facebook and Instagram.
