Kilbeggan man joins Harris Group in senior role

Kilbeggan man Willie Daniels has been appointed to a senior role with Harris Group, the Irish commercial vehicle distribution and retail firm.

The company last week announced his appointment as ‘Head of Bus and Coach’ for their Irish and UK operations.

He has 28 years of experience in the industry, covering sales, account management, senior management and operations, and the Harris Group said he was equipped to lead their bus and coach division to new heights.

Mr Daniels said: “I am absolutely delighted to join a leading company like Harris Group. The vision, direction and drive of the senior team was key to me making my decision to join the company, and now we embark on a journey of enhancing our offering of fuel-efficient vehicles that will improve operators’ bottom lines.

“A key focus for our division will be enhancing the after-sales service Harris Group are renowned for, while providing comprehensive advice and support to our customers when they are making procurement decisions for their future requirements.”

Based on the Naas Road in Dublin, Harris Group are Ireland’s largest retail sales centre for the commercial vehicle sector; their brands include Isuzu, MAXUS and Higer Bus and Coach.

The company operate the largest parts distribution centre in the country.
