WATCH: Uplifting video captures spirit of Moate St Patrick's Day parade

A video capturing the spirit of this year's St Patrick's Day parade in Moate has been a big hit on social media, attracting well over 20,000 views to date.

Local man Darren Doyle, of Studio 93, filmed and edited the wonderful three-and-a-half minute video which shows a host of local children and adults adding to the colour and atmosphere of the national feast day.

At the time of writing, the video had more than 24,000 views on Facebook.

"It is an amazing feat to get so many views for a video of a parade in a town with a population of only 3,000 people, only half of whom even use Facebook," said Stuart Clifford, chair of the Moate St Patrick's Day committee.
