Wilson’s and St Joseph’s go through in Pi Day Maths Quiz

Wilson’s Hospital School hosted the Irish Mathematics Teachers Association Pi Day Quiz as a regional centre, when 23 teams from St Joseph’s Secondary School, Rochfortbridge, Loreto College Mullingar, Ardscoil Phadraig and Wilson’s Hospital School, Enfield Community College, St Mel’s College, Oaklands Community College. Amidst fierce competition, there was lots of exceptional talent on display.

Congratulations is in order for Laura Williamson, Megan Magovern, Charlotte Farrell and Matthew Carroll Martinez from Wilson’s, who emerged victorious with an impressive score of 17 points. The Wilson’s team and a team from St Joseph’s, Rochfortbridge now go to the national finals.

The Irish Mathematics Teachers Association offered thanks to the organisers and hosts for making the event possible and congratulations to the students and teachers from all of the schools involved.
