Big night of darts ahead as Westmeath final takes place

Tonight (Friday), April 26 will see the biggest game of the Westmeath Darts League with the final taking place between defending champions Mullingar Shamrocks and the Grand Hotel, Moate.

The eagerly-awaited match takes place in Bagnall’s, Rochfortbridge and with fine players on both sides, it should be a fitting finale to the league. When the sides met in the league earlier on, it was Shamrocks who recorded a narrow win, but it's certainly all to play with some quality throwers on either team.

The teams will toe the oche for the start at around 10pm and first up will be the doubles, followed by the singles, with the first team to reach seven games taking the title. Plenty of power scoring and big finishes are in store.

Shamrocks team: Ross Kelly, Sylvester Keane, Mickey McKnight, Brandon Gilsenan, Keith Mahon, Aidan Reilly, Gerard McLoughlin, Joe Farrelly, Wilo McLoughlin, Billy Conway, Kevin McKnight, Sean Farrelly.

The Grand Hotel team: Ben Corcoran, Mark Dolan, Tommy Dolan, Mark Corrigan, Damien Claffey, Graeme Cochrane, Ken Allen, Anthony Blacoe, Mick Evans, Gary McCormack, Sean Waters, Ian Simpson.
