Westmeath handed tough Sam Maguire group stage draw

Westmeath will face Division 1 league champions Derry, as well as the winners of this weekend's Connacht football championship final between Mayo and Galway, and the losers of the Ulster final between Armagh and Donegal.

Dessie Dolan's men have been drawn in what is arguably this year's group of death with all three other teams playing in division 1 of the football league next year.
