Music and movement at Multyfarnham Community Centre inspired many to join in the fun – Kathleen Mealy, Maureen Gaynor, Ann Boyhan, Bernie Nugent, Marie Crowley, Breda Coleman and fitness master Paul Cheevers at the tea party for the Alzheimer Society of Ireland last week.

BMB Active host ASI Tea Day fundraiser at Multyfarnham

Multyfarnham Community Centre was the venue last Wednesday afternoon for an Alzheimer Society of Ireland Tea Day organised by BMB Active. Enormous generosity of spirit was evident in the many fabulous raffle prizes donated, and the many cakes and tasty sandwiches – which didn’t last too long.

A demonstration of music and movement led by the popular Paul Cheevers inspired many to take to the floor and dance to the music.

Some of the attendees of the ASI Services recently established in the Franciscan Friary attended the event.

The subliminal message from BMB Active is that participating in the many activities run by the group, such as dance, Go For Life, art, and travel to new places, social engagement is a significant factor in maintaining physical and mental wellbeing.

One in eight families in Ireland are affected by Alzheimer’s disease, so BMB Active are happy to be part of the solution.

The annual tea party event on May 1 means that they could donate €1,552.70 to ASI. Go Raibh Maith Agat to the generous benefactors of this event.
