Woman in 20s hospitalised following Mullingar incident

Gardaí received a report and attended the scene of an incident which occurred at an exterior location in Mullingar, on Friday 3 May at approximately 7.30pm.

A female (20s) was conveyed to the Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar for treatment for serious injuries.

A second female (20s) was arrested in connection with the incident, and detained pursuant to Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984, at a garda station in the County Westmeath area.

She has since been charged and was scheduled to appear before Mullingar District court this afternoon, Monday May 6.

Investigations are ongoing.
