Club’s Golf Classic hits 30-year milestone

This weekend, the Mullingar Rugby Football Club (MRFC) celebrated a big milestone – 30 years of their Annual Golf Classic. Organised by local brothers Ray, Brian, and Dec Murphy, the event has been a highlight of the community calendar for the three decades.

Luckily, the weather was perfect for golf, with clear skies and mild temperatures. The day was filled with excitement, especially during the auction hosted by Aiden Egan. Highlights of that included a signed Ireland Six Nations jersey and tickets to the upcoming match between Ireland and the All Blacks.

MRFC would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out to support the event, especially the many local businesses that sponsored it. All funds raised will go towards the development and upkeep of the rugby club.

To cap off the evening, rugby legend Gordon D’Arcy gave an after-dinner speech that was very well received by all attendees. It was a day of sport, community, and celebration, reflecting the spirit and dedication at the heart of MRFC.
