Mullingar Chamber relaunched its advisory groups with a social BBQ for all local businesses. The move is with a view to strengthening the connections among the businesses in the area and offering a defined channel for members to offer their feedback.
More 50 local businesses were represented at the event, which took place at the Annebrook House Hotel on Friday September 27.
Addressing the gathering on the night, James Bourke, president of Mullingar Chamber said: “The good attendance here this evening shows a willingness from our business community to engage and support each other. That was our aim here today, to bring businesses together, not just chamber members but all businesses who operate in our town and to drive the Chambers purpose of making Mullingar a better place to work, live and do business.”
Following the success of the BBQ, Mullingar Chamber plans to follow up with more in person gatherings to engage local business people, for both feedback and networking purposes.
