Storm Darragh wind warning upgraded to orange for Midlands
Met Éireann has this morning (Friday) upgraded its wind warning for Storm Darragh to orange for all areas across Ireland.
The warning is for very strong and gusty northwest winds, and comes into effect from 8pm tonight (Friday) until 10am tomorrow.
Potential impacts may include fallen trees, damage to power lines, very difficult travelling conditions, damage to temporary structures, and wave overtopping.
There is also a yellow rainfall warning in place for most of the north and northwest of the country, including Westmeath and Roscommon, as well as Cavan, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Longford, Louth, Mayo, Meath, Monaghan, and Sligo.
Potential impacts may include localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions.
This warning into effect on Friday at 10am until Saturday at 10am.
