Four titles in one season for Mullingar U18 girls
Mullingar RFC’s Under-18 girls have finished their season in incredible style, claiming the Leinster Cup and securing a clean sweep of four major titles this year. It’s a record-breaking run that has firmly placed them among the most successful teams in the club’s 100-year history.
The final, played over the weekend, saw the girls deliver another commanding performance, capping off a year of hard work, teamwork, and determination. Head Coach Elaine Murtagh praised the team’s commitment and spirit.
“This group of girls has shown unbelievable heart all season. Winning four out of four finals isn’t just about talent — it’s about trust, effort, and the bond they’ve built together. We couldn’t be prouder,” she said. As Mullingar RFC celebrates its centenary season, this triumph adds a special chapter to the club’s proud legacy.
Mullingar RFC U14 Girls Claim Midlands Title and March On to Premier Final
History was made as Mullingar Rugby Club’s U14 Girls won the Midlands League Final on home soil, defeating Tullamore in a fantastic display of teamwork and spirit on Monday, April 28. It’s the first of two finals for the girls who have a unique record in Leinster this season.
