Pupils and teachers from Gaelscoil an Choillín at Amharclann an Clasach in Clontarf to accept their Féile na Drámaíochta prize.

Féile na Drámaíochta winners receive their all-Ireland trophy

Junior and senior infants from Gaelscoil an Choillín brought home national honours after winning the all-Ireland final of the Féile na Drámaíochta competition with their enchanting performance of ‘A Fear Sinséir’.

Their achievement is a testament to the creativity, confidence, and talent of the school’s youngest students.

On Wednesday week last (May 7), 10 representatives from the group, along with Múinteoir Deborah and Múinteoir Lauren, travelled to Amharclann an Clasach in Clontarf to accept the trophy on behalf of their classmates.

Fiadh, Edith, Penny, Ada, Holly, Emma, Aaron, Jackson, Theodore and Ethan proudly took to the stage to receive the award, as ambassadors of their school.

A total of 56 children participated in the production, which won over the judges with its charm, humour, and teamwork.

The entire school community is immensely proud of the pupils’ success, and celebrations are planned to honour the hard work and joy they brought to the stage.

Gaelscoil an Choillín continues to nurture a love of the arts through Irish, and this latest accolade is a shining example of what young learners can achieve when creativity is encouraged and celebrated.
