Saoirse Ronan expecting first child with husband Jack Lowden, reports say
Actress Saoirse Ronan is reportedly expecting her first child with her husband Jack Lowden.
According to the Irish Independent, a source close to the couple confirmed the news and said the pair were "thrilled".
The four-time Oscar-nominated actress married Slow Horses star Lowden in Edinburgh last summer.
In October last year Ronan said she felt “fortunate” that she will be able to step away from her Hollywood career to have children without having to give up acting for good.
The 30-year-old told British Vogue: “I became successful when I was quite young. So it meant that, actually, by the time I found my partner, I’m now at the stage where, if it happened, I would like to have a kid.
“I feel fortunate enough that, if I step out of this for a minute, I’m hopefully not giving it up forever. But, yeah, I’ve always wanted that.”
Ronan attended a Louis Vuitton event in the south of France on Thursday night, wearing a black gown from the French luxury house.
She appeared on the front row of the star-studded fashion show alongside actresses Emma Stone, Cate Blanchett and Sophie Turner.
